Winter activities
There are three SKI centers easily reachable from our hotel:
- Ski Tále – 1 km
- Mýto pod Ďumbierom – 6 km
- Jasná Chopok Juh – 8 km
Besides of that there are trails for cross-country skiing directly in Tále or in Pohanské.
In case of good weather and snow conditions there are options for ski mountaineering in Low Tatras and hiking to the Chata gen. M.R. Štefánika or to the highest peak Ďumbier.

Ďumbier a Chata Gen. M.R. Štefánika
The most famous and year-long accessible trail to Ďumbier starts from parkng place next to to Chata Trangoška. You need to follow green mark which leads by the cave Jaskyňa mŕtvych netopierov to the mountain cottage Chata gen. M.R. Štefánika. offering meal and drinks. Then you have to change to the red trail to Krupovo sedlo and Ďumbier with panoramatic views. The total time there and back is during summer around 5:30 h.

Chopok
You can reach Chopok peak via yellow trail from Trangoška via Srdiečko and Kosodrevina, or easily by cable way. If you decide for hiking option, you would need around 6 hours in total. From Chopok you can also continue to Ďumbier, or to the west to Dereše.

Bystrianska cave
In the Bystrianska cave you can admire the karst formations from June by end of October. The round tour is 580 meters long and the tour takes around 45 min. The cave is next to the parking place in the village Bystrá.
Jaskyňa mŕtvych netopierov
In this cave you will experience tour with real cavers accompanying your through dark cave, its narrow trail and bridges. It is located in the Ďumbier’s alpine karst. The cave is accessible from the Trangoška cottage along the green sign. It offers a circuit suitable for families with older children, but also circuits that require experience with movement in mountain terrain and climbing. It is necessary to book in advance by phone for the tour.
Educational trail Tále
Only few meters far from our cottage there is educational interactive trail suitable for families. It is 1 km long and provides information and games about about animals and plants.
Gray Bear Golf
Within walking distance you will also find the Gray Bear Golf Course with its beautiful natural scenery, which covers an area of approximately 60 hectares.
Summer Activities
Tarzánia Tále
In the treetops, fun for young and old awaits. The area consists of 23 obstacles at a height of 5 to 7 m and the ground. Experienced instructors will train you and equip you with the necessary equipment.
Natural swimming pool Tále
If you are looking for passive relaxation, then only a few meters from the cottage you will find the natural swimming pool Tále. In the evening, we recommend visiting this place and enjoying the sunset.
Cycling
Discover Horehronie from the saddle of a bicycle, a number of cycle paths of various difficulty await you. We recommend a bike tour from Tále to Vajskovský waterfall.

Čiernohronská Railway and Vydrovo Forest Open-Air Museum
The Čiernohronská Railway offers a unique experience of driving in historic wagons. We recommend combining the trip with a visit to the Vydrovo Forestry Museum, where the railway has two stops. On the nature trails leading through the forest, you will learn about the history, protection and importance of the forest as well as the work of foresters. The open-air museum has a number of exhibits of mechanisms used in logging, there is also a fire station, a chapel and attractions for children.
Kráľova hoľa
Known from legends and poems, it is one of the most visited hills in the Low Tatras. The trail leads from the village of Šumiac (blue sign) or from Telgárt along the green sign. If you drive through Telgárt, we recommend stopping at the well-known railway bridge Chmárošský viaduct.
Zbojská Saddle
Approximately 34 km from the cottage is Zbojská saddle with a lookout tower, a famous mountain hut and a beautiful educational forest path of Jakub Surovec. It is also worth mentioning the little-known Devil’s Valley.

You can spend the evening playing board games for young and old in our bar, in the basement there is also table football, and we can also lend you badminton set.
